The roast is medium. There is a bit of a rustic sweetness that emerges up front and reminds of palm dates. A subtle hint of hazelnut dances around. A melon citrus note shows up midway on the palate as the cup cools. The brewed cup is medium bodied with a smooth black tea like finish.
